Prairie Karen - Riding and Roping!

Sorry to be so long in writing, but this is riding and roping season for Prairie Karen. I had the opportunity to attend several outstanding clinics recently near our ranch in East Central Colorado. The first was a ranch roping and cattle working clinic presented by The Weavers from Red Bluff, California. They are, by the way, the founders of The Californios Traditional Ranch Roping event held in Red Bluff every April. You can read more about this great event at www.Californios.com. In my opinion, it is one of the best clinics you could ever imagine and it gives me a chance to work extensively with my mare, Christy, in a real-world environment. The second clinic was a first for me and was presented by Richard Caldwell from Alturas, California. Richard is a lifelong buckaroo working in the Traditional Vaquero style of riding.
